The will of God for you is ‘To give thanks’. 1 Thess. 5:18. In hard times, it can be difficult to give thanks but when you do, light will break out in your darkest hour. In God’s light, you see light. “For with you is the fountain of life: in your light shall we see light’. Ps. 36:9.
We are called not only to be thankful but also to Rejoice. This changes your perspective about the situation you are in. There is a sudden breakthrough which can turn things around. Miracles still happen!
Giving thanks is being grateful, which means you are appreciative of all the good things God has done for you. You also give thanks to people God used to help you in life.
Whatever situation you are in right now, trust in God. Have confidence in Him because He is with you and you will not fail. God is working on that case right now, do not be worried or be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer, petition, and with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6.
Being thankful is a gift from God: it makes you aware of the blessings you receive from Him and others. It makes you more resilient in handling difficult situations and adversities. Giving thanks puts you on the positive side of life and and helps you to be very optimistic. Being negative makes you fearful and depresses you and others around you.
Thanksgiving makes you joyful and happier in life. Being joyful gives us strength to withstand all opposition that comes your way. It helps develop a high esteem and your self worth in Christ, Which means, "You are somebody"!
Let’s begin now to give thanks to God for being our Maker, provider and protector, to Jesus our redeemer and healer and to the Blessed Holy Spirit who leads, guides and comforts us. Give thanks for your family, friends, and neighbors. Give thanks for your city and its officials, your state and nation.
