Abiding in christ means living your life in close connection with Him. It is a life of total surrender to God. You receive your nutrients from christ. To remain closely connected with God practice spending time in His presence. A daily devotion of reading and meditating on the word, praying ,and fellowship with other believers.
Col 3:3 “For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. NIV For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. NASB For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God”. We are hidden with Christ in God. We as believers are identified with Jesus Christ in His dead and resurrection.
Galatian 2:20. “I have been crucified with Christ: and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me, and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.Oct 6, 2013
1 Cor 12:13. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. Through baptism by the Holy Spirit, we are hidden in Christ . We are buried with Him in baptism as dead and raised in glory into new life. Our real life is in Christ. and Hid resurrection life iid in us.
2 Cor 3:18 “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
The abiding life is a fruitful life. John 15:1-2 “ I Am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. In John 15:4-5 “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
There is Increased In courage, boldness, wisdom, and revelation in the spirit. The fruit of the spirit is developed and operating, Praying in the will of God by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:26
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”
1John 5:14 “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
Psalms 91:3 -4. “Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
