Remember, when you seek Him early, you will find Him. Seek the Lord, seek His face forevermore. "If you seek Me with all your heart, you will find Me." Your heart is stayed on God when you continually seek Him. God will keep him at perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him because he trusts in Him.
Seeking God as you first rise up, first thing in the morning, conversing and being in fellowship with Him is very beneficial to your well-being. You become one with Him. The scriptures say, "But whoever is united with the Lord is One with Him in spirit." The person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. 1 Cor 6:17
At conversion, when we repent of our sins and accept Christ as our personal Savior and Lord, which is called the New Birth, our human spirit is regenerated by God’s Holy Spirit. We have God’s Life (Zoe) the divine, eternal life; hence, we become a new person. "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things are passed away; behold all things are made new." 2 Cor 5:17. This experience is called being ‘born-again’. There is a mingling of God’s Spirit with our human spirit. This is the divine birth. Praise God.
As we pray, read His Word, memorize, meditate on it and fellowship with fellow Believers, we grow. Another step further is to develop a closer relationship and a deeper intimacy with God, by setting time aside to be in His presence. He says, “Be still and know that I Am God, I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Ps 46:10. Yes! God will be exalted high above your problem and overwhelming circumstances. Remember, you have been raised up with Christ far above all power and authority in heaven and on earth. You are seated with Him in the heavenly places far above all principalities and power and everything made subject to Him. Let's get back to our topic for now.
In the stillness of His presence, we behold His face and we are changed into His (Christ's) likeness from glory to glory. Yes! We are being changed, becoming like Him. This continues till we see Him face to face. As the saying goes, ‘You become whom you behold.’ Yes! We are changed and transformed in His presence. The sweetness, Love, anointing and the glory in His presence increases our hunger, thirst and soul longing for Him more and more.
The following are some Scriptures to ponder on:
As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?1 O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in your sanctuary and gazed upon your power and glory. Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy. 2
How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of host, My soul longs, yes, faints or the courts of the Lord my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah. 3 I spread out my hands to you; I thirst for you like a parched land. 4
We begin to know His heart, as we hear His heartbeat, just as John the Beloved Apostle lay on His breast hearing His heart beat. "Deep calls unto deep". We will go up into new places, new heights, new revelations of Him, and receive new perspective on things that happens in life. He feeds us in His Presence with the Living Bread and we feast on His good delight. 5
A time comes when we desire nothing but Him, nothing on earth besides Him. We become dual citizens of heaven and earth- leaving here and there. Is that a possibility?, some may ask. Yes! It is possible. Some are already living in that realm and others walking towards it.
In His presence, we drink of the Living Water and are refreshed by His Spirit, we are renewed and revived. We worship Him now in Spirit and in Truth. This oneness is already achieved when our sins are forgiven and we are born-again; but as we seek after Him passionately and with great devotion and adoration, we are changed and His glory shines in us and through us to this dark world to brighten other people’s lives, to the affect and impact their lives with His love.
The more time we spend with Him, the closer we become and the more of Him we possess in our spirits. This relationship makes our spirit-man grow and become strong that even in times of trial and difficulties that come to all; we still sing and shine His glory. We know Him now, though not fully. It is a continuous walk and journey till we see Him face to face.
We are able to endure hardship more than many others because in His presence we have developed new insight and differing perspectives about life experiences that we know affects all humans. Read Paul’s prayers in Ephesians. The Lord is with us in times of difficulties. He is our burden-bearer. Cast all of your care upon Him for He cares for you. The scorching minds, disappointing hurt, and betrayals are not so painful anymore, for Christ gives us rest in trouble. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.6 You will gain a new insight and a better perspective on baffling issues and circumstances which will accelerate your movement and enable you to soar high like the eagles, staying on the ground, running around and picking up whatsoever from the dirt is derogatory to your exalted position in Christ. You are meant to soar on wings like an eagle. "Come up higher." The Spirit and the Bride beckons you, Come.7 Respond and rise up! He will lift you up!
It is a new year, a new beginning and walk in life. Listen to God Almighty. The faithful and loving Father says to you. "Behold, I am doing a new thing----". Fresh Oil and the Holy Spirit. Anointing is being poured out upon us and those who seek after Christ our Lord savior. The Anointing that lifts burdens and breaks yokes. The Christian man and woman should never give in to the sorrows, aches or burdens. Jesus our Messiah took it all. He bore our sicknesses, infirmities, pain, shame, fears and disappointments. Come on, follow Him who loves you and gave His life - a ransom for all.
Come up higher by spending time in His presence. Do not waste your time on things that do not profit this year. It is a good year. There is a change in the atmosphere, can’t you feel it? The heavens are open over us! Hear His voice, receive instruction and prosper. Hallelujah ! Amen.
